Book Review: The Princess Diarist

Book Review: The Princess Diarist
When Carrie Fisher discovered the journals she kept during the filming of the first Star Wars movie, she was astonished to see what they had preserved - plaintive love poems, unbridled musings with youthful naivete, and a vulnerability that she barely recognized. With excerpts from her handwritten notebooks, The Princess Diarist is Fisher's intimate and revealing recollection of what happened on one of the most famous film sets of all time - and what developed behind the scenes. Laugh-out-loud hilarious and endlessly quotable, The Princess Diarist brims with the candor and introspection of a diary while offering shrewd insight into the type of stardom that few will ever experience.

The Princess Diarist is a funny memoir by the galaxy's princess and general Carrie Fisher. In 1977 the first Star Wars movie was released in theaters. Without knowing how big of a motion picture this film would end up being stood three unknown stars; Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher.

Carrie Fisher was only 19 years old when she got the role of Princess Leia which was her first major role and what she will be known for forever!

The Princess Diarist is a memoir which Carrie shares the diaries that she kept during the filming of Star Wars. She also tells her personal feelings and relationships which she cared to share with all of us!

Sadly, Carrie Fisher passed away in 2016 she is one of the most loved characters in the Star Wars franchise. Leia is a strong, independent woman who wouldn't be put down by Lord Vader or anyone else. Even after Carrie's death, Star Wars brought her back in the final episode (Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker) to end her story with a Team Leia cheer!

I personally give this memoir ⭐⭐⭐.5 star review. The part about her and Harrison Ford was longer than i enjoyed. But overall, Carrie Fisher is one funny lady!
