Book Review: A Soul As Cold As Frost

Book Review: A Soul As Cold As Frost

By Jennifer Kropf

When sixteen year old Helen Bell is handed an orb by an unknown girl, she starts seeing and hearing things. After that day everything changes, Helen begins a journey into the winter wonderland like no other. After meeting a strange boy named Zane who is stuck up in a likeable way, both Helen and Zane must find their paths and their place in this mysterious world.

Helen is an awkward and stubborn young woman, someone who I personally identify with!

Zane is a humorous and stuck up young man but likeable!

This novel is very much Alice in Wonderland meets Narnia meets The Nutcracker with a fantasy twist! The reader follows Helen Bell, Helen is no stranger to used clothing and being put down by others. But one day she is handed an orb by a stranger which opens her eyes to the new world beyond the world she lives in. A new realm, The Realm of Winter. With a crooked Queen, The Dead King, and a fight to the death in The Quarrel of Sword and Bone, this novel gives any fantasy lover exactly what they need!

I really enjoyed this novel, the characters were well developed and the winter wonderland sounded mystical. I did think the beginning was slow but once into the Realm of Winter this books picks up!

I gave this novel a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ review! I am excited to see where this series goes and what happens to Helen and Zane.

A Soul As Cold As Frost release date is November 2, 2020

Thank you Jennifer Kropf and Winter Publishing House for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review! 💙
